Thanko Sumaho Touch Bag “compact” smartphone wallet case/purse

Thanks to Thanko you can add the heft of a late ’80s cellphone to your slim 21st century smartphone with the so-called compact smartphone wallet case.

The Sumaho Touch Bag has a plastic insert for smartphone protection and then a cavernous flap of compartments for anything and everything else.

The case weighs 76g, measures 85 x 148 x 30mm when empty and costs 1,980 yen (US $17).

Samsung Galaxy S6 already the top smartphone in AnTuTu

AnTuTu has released its quarterly report on the best smartphones around. Though it’s no surprise the Samsung Galaxy S6 is #1, it is outstanding to see that a phone that hasn’t even been released yet has already broken such a record.

This just comes to prove that Samsung’s Exynos 7420 processor really is as great as we reported in our full Galaxy S6 review. As expected, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge follows, with the HTC One M9 taking third place.

Opinion: So there you go, guys. If you really want the strongest and fastest, you will have to go for the Samsung Galaxy S6.

iPhone 6+, HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge put through a heavy bend test

We all know about the issues the iPhone 6+ brought forth upon launch, right? iPhones were bending left and right, and with new devices just being released it was only a matter of time before the latest HTC and Samsung flagship phones were put to the test.

Opinion: Are the new phones affected by #bendgate? Not exactly, but these new phones aren’t exactly better, either. In fact, those who buy the Galaxy S6 Edge may be left off in a worse situation. Watch the video and see for yourself.

Samsung launches 3 new curved monitors

Samsung is going all in on curved devices, and this virus has spread even to their large screens. Today the company has announced a trio of new monitors that should really make your experience much more immersive. These new monitors are priced at $299.99-$599.99.

Of course,t hey come in different sizes and configurations. The cheapest comes with a 24-inch panel panel, while the two others sport 23.6 and 27-inch screens. These all feature 1080p resolutions, but do come with some technology that will keep your eyes healthy and screen flickers off bay.

Opinion: I still would rather get an ultra wide monitor, but this could be a great investment for heavy gamers. And at more affordable prices, we really can’t complain much.

Sony acquires OnLive

Sony is all set to take over the game streaming business. They previously acquired Gaikai, which made PlayStation Now possible, and today a new acquisition has been announced. Sony has purchased the popular gaming service OnLive.

It seems Sony has different plans for this service, though. This is more about patents and technology to improve Sony’s own streaming services, and OnLive won’t exactly be converted into anything else. In other words, they are shutting it down.

This comes as horrible news for anyone who has invested a good amount of cash into OnLive. OnLive sold specific consoles and specific controllers… which only work with OnLive’s gaming service. Theses product will be rendered useless, but at least OnLive is promising a refund to those who purchased these products on, or before February 1st.

The service is shutting down on April 30th and current subscribers get the last month for free.

Opinion: This is really a shame, as OnLive was one of the first to bring us real online gaming. This whole thing makes us wonder if Sony’s decision was influenced by the fact that OnLive was one of the biggest competitors for PlayStation Now.
