Meizu MX4 Pro caught in the wild running Ubuntu

With Meizu, Canonical has a chance to bring Ubuntu to many new users who dig the idea of having a single device for all their needs. That, as you know, is the whole point of running Ubuntu on phones. We don’t need yet another “plain” mobile platform; that’s why we can’t wait to play with the forthcoming Meizu phone.
And guess what? The soon-to-be-launched Meizu MX4 Pro has been caught in the wild running Ubuntu. We’re not sure how it all comes together — we don’t see the docking station in the leaked photos — but we want to believe this is the device we’ve been waiting for.
The MX4 Pro supposed to be officially announced later this month, though new information suggests its launch will be postponed to November. This should be a big device with specs that include a 5.4-inch display with 1536 x 2560 pixels resolution, 20MP rear camera + 13MP front-facing camera, Samsung’s octa-core Exynos 5430 chip, and 3 GB of RAM. We can only hope this hardware will be more than enough to deliver smooth user experience even when the phone is connected to the big screen. Now, who wants one of these? ;)
