ASUS ZenWatch 2 to launch in early Q3!
The ASUS ZenWatch was easily our favorite Android Wear device of 2015. It was elegant, good-looking, affordable and offered all the functionality other smart watches brought to the table. What’s not to like?
We are now in plain 2015 and amazing watches like the LG Watch Urbane and LG G Watch R are owning the Android Wear universe. It’s time for ASUS to throw the dice and it seems their bets are coming in soon.
Asustek CEO Jerry Shen confirmed that the company’s 2nd gen ZenWatch will hit store shelves during early Q3 of this year. The cat’s out of the bad and the news is coming straight from the dog’s mouth. There’s nothing to doubt here. This is no rumor or leak.
He is not telling us much more, but he did mention a disappointing issue (if you can call it that). While ASUS was hoping to accomplish 7 days of battery life with the second iteration ZenWatch, they failed to meet these standards and are now stuck with under 4 days of battery life. Bummer, right?!
Opinion: I mean, I would be completely happy if a smart watch can last me over 3 days! This should be a good smart watch, aside from being relatively affordable.
