FreedomPop heads to the UK!
FreedomPop is very well-known in the USA for its very unique business strategy. These guys offer free service! Of course, it’s limited and you can pay low prices to keep using your device. They need to make money somehow, right?
Regardless, it’s a great way for super casual users to make the most out of their wireless services. We never thought we would see this service heading outside of the USA, though. FreedomPop proves us wrong today, by announcing they are making an entrance to Europe through the UK.
This would be the UK’s very first wireless service and it’s expected to launch on the summer. The free tier will include 200 minutes, 200 texts and 200 MB if data. You can sign up to become a beta user at FreedomPop’s website.
Opinion: This works on a first-come-first-serve basis, so do go ahead and sign up as fast as you can, if interested. Also, I know a lot of super casual users who can live on the free tier. This is amazing!
