YotaPhone 2 improved, available in white and finally coming to the USA!
The guys at YotaPhone never stop surprising us. The YotaPhone 2 may be nothing special on paper, when looking at the specs, but it’s one of the most unique devices I have seen in years. It comes with a secondary E-Ink display on the back, which you can interact with via touch.
Using this low-powered secondary screen can improve your battery life immensely, but YotaPhone is not done revolutionizing the industry. Today they have unveiled a new white version of the device. They are also announcing an upcoming OTA update, which will introduce Android Lollipop, better performance, camera improvements and more.
But the good news here is that YotaPhone is finally ready to take on the USA! The Russian company will be piercing the American market by launching an IndieGoGo campaign, through which you can purchase your own YotaPhone 2. Specific details on pricing and availability are still unknown, but we do know the campaign goes live on May 19th.
Opinion: In a world where raw power is simply not enough anymore, we all seek for phones that can fit our lifestyle. I personally want amazing battery life and have been dreaming of the day when I can get my hands on a YotaPhone smartphone. I am not keeping my eyes open for my Project Fi invite, though, so I guess I am forced to go with the Nexus 6.
